Sr22 auto insuranceBen Affleck :What are the normal speeding tickets that are given for over 50 km and what are the steps one can take. How would this affect auto insurance?
Response : I would deal with the insurance option first being an insurance expert. If you are caught speeding and do not have any demerit points, the personal auto underwriting companies will accept your proposal with a higher quote. If you get over 4 points , as per the personal lines, you will be grouped in the high risk category and you will have to pay higher insurance like the drunk drivings and other offences. You will have to go t the specialty insurance market who underwrite DUI or sr22 car insurance quotes, since they would give you a better quote than the drunk drivers. Believe me for them you are a low risk compared to the intoxicated driving offenders. You will naturally pay higher than the normal rates, however you can still get affordable cheap car insurance in this group for sr22 car insurance.
When you are speeding by over 50 km ove r the limit that is posted and you have to pay a fine as per what you are charged. There are 3 options for you:
1) Pleading Guilty
2) Pleading Guilty with an Explanation
3) Trial / Not Guilty
When you plead guilty you will be fined and mostly the demerit points will not be added to your record. The trail option is the only option if you do not want to pay and fight the charge or reduce the charges and the demerit points also. A plea of guilt with an explanation is not a trial and your speeding ticket will not be eliminated off of your record with this option. At most the speeding ticket may be slightly reduced, but this usually only includes the fine amount and not the demerit points. The trial option is the only way to fight for dismissal of a speeding ticket or for a drastic reduction in the fine or demerit points.
Demerit Points for Speeding Tickets
0 – 15 km/hr over = 0 points (minor infraction)
16 – 29km/hr over = 3 points (minor infraction)
30 – 49 km/hr over = 4 points (major infraction)
50+ km/hr over = 6 points + 30 day license suspension

Low sr22 insuranceScott: How can you get auto insurance after 2 DWI’s?
Response: Scott, I must really tell you that you are going to have a tough time. You have been caught not once but twice in a drinking and driving situation. You must consult a lawyer for your legal matters and also on obtaining your driving license back and the demerit points.
On the insurance side, you will be required to produce a financial responsibility or to have the SR22. I would advice you to definitely have the SR22 even if it is not required by your State since if you are involved in an accident you will have a grave problem. There are several high points of specialty insurers who will insure you. The cost of insurance will be high. Please go for on-line SR22 quotes and check out your options online.
Secondly get a impaired-ignition lock installed in your car immediately so that you will be prevented from driving once you are intoxicated. This will prevent you from any further trouble and also save property and life damage which might be your own.
Please go for some classes or a rehabilitation home to get out of the habit of drinking so that you are saved from the stress and tensions. I know it is easy to say but difficult to do. But its not impossible like the insurance companies who still offer comparative quotes for DUI/DWI and intoxicated.

dui insuranceWhat are the consequences of major and minor tickets?
Response : A driver knows the consequences of breaking the rules of the road – one is given a tickets for breaking the rules.The minor offences are :
- Making an improper turn;
- Breaking the stop sign rule;
- Wrong parking ;
- Driving without a seat belt.
These are considered minor offences and the demerit points given are usually 2 points. However, this will differ upon the state and the circumstances prevailing – whether you get involved in an accident due to this violation.
The major offences are :
- Speeding is considered a major offence. The speed limit should be strictly maintained. Normally if you are driving over the speed limit of 16-29 an hour – 3 demerit points are applied on your driving license. If you are driving at the speed of 0ver 29-50 per hour than the demerit points are 6.Depending upon the severity your driving license can be revoked and the insurance company can cancel your policy.
- Driving under influence. This is a major offence. The penalty for this is either suspension of your driving license, you are charged and the state rules differ but most states require that you should have a SR22 form for 3 years from an insurance company.
Normally the rates of insurance do not increase heavily for minor offences but major offences are considered high risk auto insurance risk and the auto insurance premium would increase.
